SCOUTING
My 11 years involved in Scouting have better prepared me for the real world and for pursuing my career. The opportunities that I have had access to through Scouting have not only shaped who I am, but they have also changed my interests and made me more cognizant of—and more actively involved in—the world around me. I have cultivated social, technical, and leadership skills that I otherwise would not have been taught until much later in life. I am beyond grateful to have had these opportunities and to have been led by such inspiring adult leaders and staff throughout the years. The foundation that my time in Scouting provided me for the professional world is like none other.
EAGLE PROJECT
In September of 2020, I began working in my community to find a project that would solve an existing issue and provide something in return for what they have graciously given to me and many others. During this time, I spoke at length with my neighbors, teachers, and Scout leaders regarding their needs and what would be attainable during the time that I had. This led me to work alongside the AMVETS and American Legion to provide a depository box for retired American flags as well as a new flagpole for the newly proposed entrance to the site. This project was implemented at my hometown Transfer Station in Salem, NH. This project and its continued operation would not have been possible without the help of Terry Armstrong (AMVETS/American Legion), Roy Sorenson (Salem DPW), Derrick Buccieri (Salem Transfer Station), my Scoutmaster, Don Bohnwagner Sr., my Troop (409), and my parents.
